Back in the nineties, after my experience with the awesome Jetfighter II, I got my hands on the original Jetfighter III. It was mind blowing the changes made to the game compared to the previous releases.

Jetfighter III brought many changes not only in graphics but also in how many new thinks you could do with your planes. This meant new keys to memorize for all the new functions added to this version of the game.

Besides Jetfighter, the Jane's Combat Simulations saga has been one of the best combat flight simulation ever made. I couldn't play those games back in the day because my lack of "powerful" enough PC.

But now, thanks to some help from the internet I could install and run some of the Jane's games on my current and more modern PC.

Since the Jane's games are way more complex in terms of realism and actual simulation. I decided to play the game in Casual Mode for people like me, a first timer who wants to have fun and learn by doing.

Jetfighter V: Homeland Protector (2003) - Full Playthrough

I've had known about Jetfighter V for several years but never had the chance to play it. Now that I'm back into flight simulations I looked on Ebay and could get a cheap copy of the game and installed on my PC after some compatibility configurations.

The game is more "arcade" than simulator when compared to other titles of the Jetfighter Saga but still managed to keep the jetfighter spirit that made this saga memorable.

The Plot

While on a routine training mission, you've been suddenly called back to base. It seems that an invasion fleet has been sighted just off the waters of United States West Coast. 

Few days prior to this call, The North Korea government reported that an unknown force has attacked its main bases, and made off with a large number of fighters, bombers, tanks, trucks, warships, and more. 

US Forces are already tied down in the Middle East, which means you, the rest of rookie pilots on this base, and some National Guard units, are all that stands in the way of this invasion of American soil. 

The flyable aircraft models available to stop this new threat are the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the F-22 Raptor.
